Fortress Level Construction is a land clearing and site preparation company serving Central Ohio. The company was founded in 2009 by Lee Carson, a retired U.S. Army Ranger, and is veteran founded, licensed and insured. The crew clears one to five acres a day and works from flat rate quotes that are set in writing before any work starts.

The work covers land clearing, forestry mulching, brush and lot clearing, fence line clearing, excavation, grading, site preparation and demolition across five Central Ohio counties: Franklin, Delaware, Licking, Fairfield and Union. Fortress serves 44 communities from Columbus to Marysville.

Material is mulched in place rather than piled, burned or hauled off. A pass leaves a two to four inch mulch layer that holds the soil and breaks down into topsoil over two to three seasons. Mature trees are flagged and kept when the owner wants them kept.

## Services and Pricing

The five core services:

- Land Clearing: $1,500 to $6,000 per acre depending on terrain density, tree diameter and whether stumps are removed. Flat, contiguous ground sits at the low end. Wooded, ravine and ridge ground sits at the upper end. Ground steeper than 15 degrees carries 15 to 25 percent above the flat rate, because slope sets the safe working pace.
- Forestry Mulching: brush, saplings and invasive growth cut, ground and spread in place, up to 14 inches in diameter. One machine, one pass, nothing piled, burned or hauled off. Priced with the clearing work.
- Excavation: digging, trenching, ponds and earthwork across Central Ohio. Quoted per job after a site walk.
- Demolition: structure removal and site clearance, including the debris haul. Ohio requires a separate demolition permit, which Fortress handles.
- Site Preparation: clearing and grubbing a building footprint before the builder mobilises. Phase one, ahead of the builder, in the same mobilisation, because a builder arriving to ground that is cleared but not grubbed cannot start.
